Our Kindergarten Program

Comprehensive curriculum preparing children for school success

Our center develops expectations and practices in concert with our state curriculum standards so children make an easy transition into the local school system. At the same time, our curriculum builds off the child’s knowledge base and skills, learning style, and interests. There is a clear emphasis on the development of strong language, math, and science skills. Important “school skills” of listening carefully, following through on a sequence of tasks, and working cooperatively are reinforced.

What Parents are Saying

Our greatest advocates are also our closest friends.

"Thank you Laura for the investment you've made in my son. You have understood him and tailored an approach with him that has worked so well - we appreciate all your efforts and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. He will a better student next year in elementary school because of it. "

Our Curriculum Components

The building blocks to balanced education.

Family Recipes

You Will Need:

Recipe cards, divider cards for a box, Recipe box for each child or family member

Directions:

Have your child think about her favorite meals and foods. She may research ideas in magazines, cookbooks, or your recipe box. Then you or your child can copy the recipe (or cut it out of the magazine and glue it to the card). If your child can't copy the recipe, she may be able to write the name of the food. Your child can add it to her own recipe box.

Tip:

Foods often bring memories. Talk about your favorite meals as a child. What did your mother cook for special occasions? Pass on traditional family recipes. Use the recipes to help plan menus, especially for holidays. Ask your child to choose a vegetable dish, or a bread, etc. Encourage children to help in the preparation of the recipe.
