You Will Need:
1c. salt, 1 c. flour, 2 c. water with food coloring, 2 Tbl. oil, large saucepan, Cookie cutters and rolling pin
Tray, airtight container for storage
Optional - Add 2 tsp. Cream of Tatar to make dough last longer.
Directions:
Have child measure and mix dry ingredients in a saucepan and stir well. Slowly add water and stir well. Parent then cooks play dough over medium heat stirring constantly. When it has formed a lump, put it on tray to cool. After it is cool invite your child to play while you are cooking dinner.
Tip:
Help your child measure ingredients if necessary. While mixing ingredients, talk about the changes you see. Let your child choose the color of food coloring. Talk to your child about what you are doing and ask them what they are making. Dough can be stored in refrigerator.
