    School Age

Guiding children to experience their world and pursue their interests

Our school-age program recognizes the growing physical, intellectual, and social competence of older children. Eager to explore the social world and discover how the adult world works, school-age children thrive on challenges, friendships, clubs, and responsibility. They want to make things, build things, act out new dramatic possibilities, explore computers and books, construct imaginary worlds and most important, not be treated like "little kids." Read More

What Parents are Saying

Our greatest advocates are also our closest friends.

"Ever since the first day I walked into Bright Horizons, I have always felt very comfortable that my son would be well taken care of. I thank you all for your caring hearts, teaching right from wrong, and playing a big part in the development of the amazing boy that my son has become."

World at their Fingertips

The building blocks to a balanced education.

"When I go into one of our centers, I can immediately tell that learning is happening. You see children in small groups engaged in activities that have been thoughtfully prepared."

Dice

You Will Need:

At least two dice (test them in a choke tube before allowing preschool children to play with them).

Directions:

Start with one die. One person throws it, counts the dots and then performs an action that many times such as blinking, wiggling their nose, or touching their ear. For older children try having one person throw two dice, then count the dots and add them together. The participants play this game until a certain sum is reached.

Tip:

This is a wonderful game to play in restaurants or while enduring long waits. While commuting, children can play by themselves, using the top of a shoebox.
