  • Daddy Day Delights

    June 14 Lunch with Dad

On June 14, 2013 we will celebrate all of our special Dads with our Daddy's Day Healthy Delights. Part of our Well Aware program is to include healthy choices. We will be serving: organic mixed fruit breads; apple crumb, banana and blueberry breads with a variety of spreads including apple butter and whipped cream cheese. Our curriculum offers a family style dining.

    What is family style dining?

Family style dining should reflect an atmosphere of respect and tranquility like that of an ideal family, where everyone (teachers and children) sit down to eat together. Often there are fresh flowers or branches in a vase. Children and adults sit and talk. They smile, politely ask each other to “please pass the food” and when someone spills, that person calmly cleans up. Typically there is a small group at each table sitting with a teacher. On this day we will have our children's daddy's.

    Time:
    8:00 am - 10:00 am

We hope that you can join us and share this special time with your child/children and other dads!

Because parents need peace of mind

    Well Aware and Staying Healthy

Our center environment offers children a healthy and safe place to develop and learn. Through our Well Aware program and our Staying Healthy procedures, we set high expectations for creating healthy environments and also foster positive attitudes within children towards healthy living, physical activity, and nutrition.

We’re proud to provide programs parents can feel good about, and to be recognized as a model for other early education programs by the Partnership for a Healthier America and First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign.
