    School Age

Guiding children to experience their world and pursue their interests

Our school-age program recognizes the growing physical, intellectual, and social competence of older children. Eager to explore the social world and discover how the adult world works, school-age children thrive on challenges, friendships, clubs, and responsibility. They want to make things, build things, act out new dramatic possibilities, explore computers and books, construct imaginary worlds and most important, not be treated like "little kids." Read More

What Parents are Saying

Our greatest advocates are also our closest friends.

"From the moment we drop off our child to the moment we pick her up we are comforted by the care, education and love you provide to her on a daily basis. With each day she is brighter, happier and a more well-rounded child."

World at their Fingertips

The building blocks to a balanced education.

"When I go into one of our centers, I can immediately tell that learning is happening. You see children in small groups engaged in activities that have been thoughtfully prepared."

- Dave Lissy, Bright Horizons CEO

You Will Need:

A Timer

Directions:

Suggest that your child "race the clock," to put her toys away. "Let's see if you can put all your blocks away before the bell rings. Say, "On your mark, get set, go!"

Tip:

Break the job down into small tasks. "Let's see if you can put all the toys away that are close to the sofa before the timer goes off," etc.

Get involved in our Enrichment Activities

Because knowledge is more than just the ABC's.

The Before- and After-School Program offers a relaxed, balanced program with time to play, explore the arts, physical and social sciences, be involved in project work, learn with friends, and let off steam.  Eager to explore the social world and discover how the adult world works, five-to twelve-year-olds thrive on challenges, friendships, clubs, and responsibility.  They want to make things, build things, act out new dramatic possibilities, explore computers and books, construct imaginary worlds with dolls or Legos and most important, not be given more of the same and treated like "little kids."  They want to discover who they are and pursue their interests.  Our program reinforces their drive to learn with new challenges and opportunities to get out into the world.
