Directions to Bright Horizons at the Esplanade From the North: Take 355 South to the Butterfield Road exit. Exit Butterfield Road West. After about one block turn Left into the Esplanade Office Park (Woodcreek Dr.) Almost immediately turn left onto Lacey Road. End at 3400 Lacey Road (If you pass the Sara Lee building you have gone too far.) From the South: Take Belmont Road North. Belmont Road turns into Finley Road. Turn Left onto Lacey Road (traffic light) Just past the Sara Lee building turn left onto Woodcreek Turn left into the parking lot. From the West: Take Ogden Road East to Finley (Belmont) Turn Left onto Finley. Turn Left onto Lacey Road (traffic light) Just past the Sara Lee building turn left onto Woodcreek Turn left into the parking lot. From the East: Take Ogden Road to Finley (Belmont) Turn Right onto Finley Turn Left onto Lacey Road (traffic light) Just past the Sara Lee building turn left onto Woodcreek Turn left into the parking lot.

  • Cherry Blossoms Explore Fairy Tales 2/25/2013

    During the week of February 25th, the preschool children in the Cherry Blossoms learned about fairy tales. This themed unit was integrated into all parts of the curriculum including Language Works, Science Rocks, Dramatic Play, etc.

  • Showcase 2013 2/7/2013

    On February 7th, Bright Horizons at the Esplanade hosted a Preschool and Pre-kindergarten Showcase event. This event was intended for families from our two's program through our pre-kindergarten program to look and explore the classroom of the next age group. Parents were able to experience learning in classrooms with their child through Inspiration Stations, as well as meeting the teachers of the class.

  • Holiday Concert 2012 12/18/2012

    This December, our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms hosted a holiday concert! The children prepared throughout the month of December for their concert, practicing songs during "Kids on Key" with Ms. Margaret. The children did a fantastic job singing a variety of holiday songs!

  • Curriculum Night 2012 10/17/2012

    Curriculum Night was a great success! Parents and children spent the evening learning about Bright Horizons curriculum through learning centers, hands on activities, discussions with teachers, and much more!

  • Pumpkin Patch Field Trip 10/16/2012

    Some of our children took a field trip to the pumpkin patch this October. They had a great day picking pumpkins, playing in a corn pit, and spending the day outside. We have posted these pictures for you to enjoy!

  • Read for the Record 2012 10/4/2012

    Read for the Record is a national campaign that promotes early childhood education and  early literacy. Bright Horizons was proud to participate in this national campaign on October 4th. Everyone in the center read the book, "LadyBug Girl and  the Bug Squad." Take a peek at our album to see how we participated!

  • Science Rocks Curriculum 9/26/2012

    All of the children have spent time enriching their science skills by observing and exploring their environment, and experiencing science activities that allow them to develop these abilities. In these photos, children are learning how to observe, hypothesize, and conclude through a variety of activities and experiences.

  • Community Helpers Week 7/2/2012

    During the summer program the children explored community helpers. Children's worlds are full of "helpers" who go to work to help others.  During community helpers week, the children were visited by the Downers Grove Police Department. After the visit, the Cherry Blossoms children created their very own police hats!

  • Kids on Key Music Program 6/12/2012

    Bright Horizons at the Esplanade offers a music program for infants through Kindergarten at no additional cost to families.  Kids on Key with Ms. Margaret is a weekly music program that consists of learning rhythm, beat and lyrics.  The children will explore various instruments and sound, make social and cultural connections along with expand upon their vocabulary and musical instruments.

  • 21st Century Technology Center 4/9/2012

    Bright Horizons at the Esplanade offers a technology center which includes a Smart Board and touch screen computers with developmentally appropriate software.  Children in our Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten programs have daily access to the Smart Board which will enhance their writing, Math Counts and Language Works skills.

  • Art Smart in the Art Studio 4/2/2012

    Bright Horizons at the Esplanade offers an Art Studio enrichment program at no additional cost to our families in Infants through Kindergarten.  The weekly Art Studio class provides new and different opportunities for children to use their imagination, try their ideas, and extend upon the work that goes on in the classroom.  Ms. Marian has her bachelor's degree and teaching certificate in Art.
