Before children can properly vocalize their wants and needs, Bright Horizons introduces them to the use of sign language. The infants and toddlers are quick to master these complex actions and use signing as a way to communicate.
The children of Bright Horizons had the opportunity to experience real reptiles. They touched them, observed them, and strengthened their knowledge of the reptiles everyday essentials to live in the environments that they are found in.
FOX Chicago News Chief Meteorologist Bill Bellis visited the center to talk with the preschool, pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten classes about the weather and to answer all their weather questions. The children had a lot of fun preparing for the visit, doing weather related projects as part of the Science Rocks curriculum, as well as creating an original art piece in the art studio.
