You Will Need:
Inexpensive flat magnets (that can be cut), scissors, glue, a metal cookie sheet. Magnet strips may be purchased at stationery, craft, or hardware stores.
Cut out photographs and pictures of people and glue the magnets to the back of them. Explore the items with your child. If you have two of each picture, you can create a matching game. Children can also create their own free-form pictures with the magnets.
This is a great activity for commuting. Provide a magnetic board or small cookie sheet. Change the pictures to keep the activity fresh. If you have a collection of refrigerator magnets, you could use those as well. Keep smaller magnets away from children under three.
