Tiptoe” your fingers over baby’s body, up arms and legs, across belly etc. while tiptoeing, saying this poem:
“Tippy Tippy tiptoe, off we go.
Tippy Tippy tiptoe, to and fro.
Tippy Tippy tiptoe, through the house
Tippy Tippy tiptoe, quiet as a mouse."
Tip:
Babies under 6 months respond to a high pitched voice. By four months they are noticing the individual sounds you make. They are learning how vowel and consonant sounds are used together. For children over 6 months avoid using “babytalk” but make your voice very rhythmic.
