To promote healthy habits, we hosted a Well Aware Open House and invited families to come and participate in a variety of activities!
Some of our toddler classrooms spent time learning about the weather as part of our Science Rocks curriculum.
Our World acknowledges and values the rich cultural heritage of families and provides a wide range of experiences for children to learn respect for our world, its diverse people, and the environment. The children in KinderPrep spent 2 weeks learning about different countries and cultures. Parents were invited to come in and share things from their own cultures with the children.
Both of our onsite outdoor playgrounds (one for preschool and Kinderprep, the other for infants and toddlers) underwent renovations during the summer and fall of 2012!
To support the One Fund Boston after the tragic events at the Boston Marathon and the week following, OKS hosted a Parents' Night Out Event where children came and had dinner and had fun playing with their friends while their parents got a night out!
For Dr. Seuss' birthday, the children got to wear some silly outfits, do some seussical activities, and read some of Dr. Seuss' books!
Parents and their toddlers and preschoolers so they could see first hand all the things that they are learning about. The parents got a chance to talk with the teachers and the children got to try out some activities in each classroom.
Parents went around to the classrooms where their child is currently and tried out different activities that their children do at school. Some parents were so excited that they explored the future age groups too!
