  • The Growing World of Toddlers

    Toddler Curriculum

Toddlers are inquisitive and exploratory by nature, striving for independence and autonomy, while insatiably curious.  Our Growing World of Toddlers curriculum uses hands-on exploration and social interaction to help the children learn about the world in a safe and engaging environment.  At Bright Horizons at University Park, we celebrate the children's uniqueness, guiding these newly independent children towards greater self-confidence and encouraging developmental capabilities that will lead the way toward achieving new skills.

Our Toddler program targets the changing needs of children 15 month to 2 years 9 months by offering age-appropriate learning opportunities to encourage individual skills and independent choices.

  • Language and Literacy in the Classroom

Bringing Books to Life in the Classroom

Our Growing Readers program is a multi-faceted resource devoted to recommending Books of Excellence and enhancing the joy that literature brings to children and families.
There are many ways in which the teachers here at Bright Horizons help to support the children's language and literacy development.  Our Language World curriculum component is consistent with  the National Association of the Education of Young Children's (NAEYC) Accreditation criteria and guidelines from The International Reading Association.
The teachers develop a comprehensive curriculum that expands language and literacy into all aspects of the classroom such as Math Counts, Science Rocks, Movement Matters, and Art Smart.
