Well Aware is an element of the World at Their Fingertips curriculum that was designed to foster positive attitudes toward healthy living through modeling, experience and activity. Teacher implement Well Aware on a daily basis with activities that help develop children's physical fitness and promote an understanding of how food, exercise, and healthy choices impact our lives.
Earth Day was held on Monday April 22. This is a day intended to help inspire appreciation for and awareness of our earth's environment. This year our toddlers celebrated while planting fruits and vegetables in their new gardens, while preschoolers planted a new apple tree on their playground!
Thank you to the families who came in to the center to help us celebrate Week of the Young Child while promoting literacy in the classroom by reading to your child's class!
The children and families all came together to celebrate the beginning of spring! As a center we enjoyed this family event while creating rock creations, planting different vegetables and making butterfly masks!
The children and families enjoyed spending the morning together during our Valentine's Day Breakfast!
Families joined us on Thursday February 14th to learn more about our preschool and kindergarten prep classrooms. Families had the opportunity to engage in hands on learning activities with their children while asking questions and interacting with the teachers and other families.
On Saturday January 26th, Frosty the Snowman came to visit and have breakfast! In classrooms there were many winter themed activities going on and Miss Carmen also joined us for some magic and music in the gym.
Administrators and Staff joined together to give parents a night out right before the holidays. Children were invited to wear pajamas and were provided dinner, arts and crafts and hot chocolate during a showing of the Polar Express
Families and teachers came together to enjoy a Friday night barbecue on the playground, Mr. Jimmy stopped by for singing and entertainment as well!
