Bright Horizons at Wayland is conveniently located on Route 30 near the Route 27 intersection in Wayland. We are nestled on route 30(Commonwealth Road) in between the Mass Pike exit numbers 13 & 14. The center is located across from Mel’s Commonwealth Café in the Wayland Woods office building. There is a separate entrance for the center at the corner of the building.

Our Toddler Program

A place for growing curious, happy and confident toddlers

Our space is built for active and inquisitive toddlers with environments made up of well-planned learning centers that allow for physical activity, child choice and self-directed play, small groups, and supportive teaching. There are reading nooks, sensory tables, great books, pretend play areas, baskets filled with dress-up and exploratory materials, musical instruments, and outdoor places to explore.

Learning experiences are planned to promote each toddler’s growing independence, to enhance social skills, and to build the confidence needed to reach their individual potential and prepare for preschool and beyond.

Our Curriculum Components

The building blocks to balanced education.

  • Language Works Reading, singing, and engaging in conversation.
  • Math Counts Counting, sorting, and pattern identification.

Learning at Home

Restaurant Rescue Box

You Will Need:

A small box or bag containing special items that are only to be taken out at restaurants. Possibilities include: activity books, a calculator, rocks and a magnifying glass, small etch and sketch, magnets, paper clips to make a chain, special pens and a book, braiding, sticker books, magic slates, etc. Do not use small objects like paper clips for children under three.

Directions:

Collect the items and rotate different activities. Make the items in the box special, to be used only at restaurants.

Tip:

Children will look forward to going to restaurants to see what’s in the box and this may help them sit at the table for longer periods.
