Bright Horizons is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Month and the teachers and staff who bring education to life. We often hear from our teachers that the greatest reward is knowing that they have made a difference for children and families.

We invite you to write your own message of thanks or share how a Bright Horizons teacher or staff member has inspired you. The website will be open from May 1-31.

  • Movement Matters in K-Prep

    Being Well Aware with Yoga

Physical health and development are as critical to a child's learning ability as any other area of development. In Kindergarten Prep, children are becoming more independent, increasingly responsible for their own choices and decisions and ready to start tending to their personal care and safety.

Here the children are using yoga to coordinate multiple muscle movements while demonstrating balance and coordination. After each "downward dog", "tree", "mountain", and "cobra" position the children would count their breaths to practice proper breathing.

Take a look at the pictures below to see all the great positions our K-Prep children learned!

Because parents need peace of mind

    Well Aware and Staying Healthy

Our center environment offers children a healthy and safe place to develop and learn. Through our Well Aware program and our Staying Healthy procedures, we set high expectations for creating healthy environments and also foster positive attitudes within children towards healthy living, physical activity, and nutrition.

We’re proud to provide programs parents can feel good about, and to be recognized as a model for other early education programs by the Partnership for a Healthier America and First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign.
