You will drive to the top of this road - the center is the only building at the top of the turn-around road. If coming from Interstate 84 you will be getting off on the Lime Kiln exit - once you are at the end of the exit, turn left at the stop sign. Right in front of you will be a Dept. of Transportation facility. On the left you will see a Park and Ride. Right after this on the left you will look for Hudson Highlands Vet Clinic. Turn onto this road as this is Donovan Drive. You will drive all the way to the top of this road - the center is the last building on the road - on the left.

    School Age

Guiding children to experience their world and pursue their interests

Our school-age program recognizes the growing physical, intellectual, and social competence of older children. Eager to explore the social world and discover how the adult world works, school-age children thrive on challenges, friendships, clubs, and responsibility. They want to make things, build things, act out new dramatic possibilities, explore computers and books, construct imaginary worlds and most important, not be treated like "little kids." Read More

What Parents are Saying

Our greatest advocates are also our closest friends.

"Thank you for everything you do for our son and our family! The ongoing communication you provide to us about our son's daily activities, interactions with other children, and growth experiences help us to feel better equipped as parents."

World at their Fingertips

The building blocks to a balanced education.

"When I go into one of our centers, I can immediately tell that learning is happening. You see children in small groups engaged in activities that have been thoughtfully prepared."

Leaf Collection

You Will Need:

A bag to collect leaves, Coffee filters, Heavy book, Journal or scrapbook, Marker, Double sided tape or glue. A tree identification book or internet site such as: http/mbgnet.mobot.org/pfg/diverse/temp/leaffind.htm Or www.worldbook.com

Directions:

Go on a walk and collect many different types of leaves. Press each leaf between 2 coffee filters and place in a heavy book (a phone book works well). You may want to add more books on top. Let them dry for a few days. When through, place in your leaf journal or scrapbook and label with the type of tree it came from. Research the variety by using the book or internet.

Tip:

Younger preschoolers may just sort leaves into categories such as round or pointed, brown or red, etc.
