  • Kindergarten Prep presents "Chicken Soup with Rice"

Kindergarten Prep gets dramatic with Art Smart

As part of our Art Smart  curriculum the Kindergarten Prep class presented their first theatrical production.  The children adapted Maurice Sendak's Chicken Soup with Rice and worked for six weeks to launch its production.  The children worked together to assign and practice their parts, design and construct the props and costumes, and block their movements on stage.  They learned Carol King's song and rehearsed their musical daily as they learned to sing out proudly and strongly.  Families and friends joined us for dress rehearsals and for our production's premiere at our graduation! Bravo, Kindergarten Prep!

Please check out pictures from our dress rehearsals.
