Our Toddler Program

A place for growing curious, happy and confident toddlers

Our space is built for active and inquisitive toddlers with environments made up of well-planned learning centers that allow for physical activity, child choice and self-directed play, small groups, and supportive teaching. There are reading nooks, sensory tables, great books, pretend play areas, baskets filled with dress-up and exploratory materials, musical instruments, and outdoor places to explore.

Learning experiences are planned to promote each toddler’s growing independence, to enhance social skills, and to build the confidence needed to reach their individual potential and prepare for preschool and beyond.

Our Curriculum Components

Learning at Home

"My Home" Photo Project

You Will Need:

camera, clear ziplock sandwich bags, stapler, yarn

Directions:

 Take about 10 photos at home of your children and  family and pets doing typical activities at home such as: getting dressed, playtime, cooking and eating, reading books, bathtime, doing the laundry, cleaning, getting into the car, yardwork, bedtime, feeding the pets, etc. Place the photos into ziplock bags. (you can put 2 photos back-to-back in each bag). Make sure you press all of the air out of the bags before sealing. Staple the bags right under the zip lock. Tie a piece of yarn around the attached bags under the zip lock to provide extra stability. Make one "album" for each child.  You can keep album and home or  bring to school for child to share and view during the day.

Tip:

Put the albums out where the kids can reach them.  If in school teachers can observe the kids and interact with the kids as they talk (or babble!) about the people they see.
