We are located on Dorthea Dix campus near the intersection of Lake Wheeler Road and South Street. Take the Lake Wheeler road exit from I-40 heading towards downtown. You will pass the Farmers Market/Centennial Parkway on the left. Once you cross over the railroad tracks you will notice a fence on the left, that begins the Dix campus area. You will turn left onto Umstead Drive. Make the next left at the red NCSU Child Care sign. We have an off white building with light green roof.

  • What Raleigh Parents are Saying

    about Bright Horizons Child Care

"Our daughter loves going to "school" every day - in no small part to her awesome teachers. After being out for an extended absence recently, I was concerned that the transition back to the classroom would be fretful, but as soon as she saw Miss Diana she reached her little arms out to get a hug."

  • 2014 Read for the Record

    Celebrating early childhood literacy

On October 21, our center participated in Jumpstart's Read for the Record, a national campaign that mobilizes families and children across America to set the world record for the largest shared reading experience.

We were honored to have Anna Laurel from ABC11 be our guest reader that day.

Read for the Record is a great tie into our Language Works curriculum, which creates a literacy-rich environment in which love of language, books, and reading is cultivated through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

A BIG thank you to Anna Laurel and the entire ABC11 team for helping us bring awareness to the importance of early literacy!

Because parents need peace of mind

    Well Aware and Staying Healthy

Our center environment offers children a healthy and safe place to develop and learn. Through our Well Aware program and our Staying Healthy procedures, we set high expectations for creating healthy environments and also foster positive attitudes within children towards healthy living, physical activity, and nutrition.

We’re proud to provide programs parents can feel good about, and to be recognized as a model for other early education programs by the Partnership for a Healthier America and First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign.
