The American Center offers a unique approach to nutrition and healthy lifestyles. We have fully embraced a Farm to Table Menu at our center. The approach started as a way to meet the needs of our diverse families and their interest in vegetarian & alternative menus.
Our chef is passionate about providing healthy meals while teaching children about gardening and healthy food choices. At the center we have year-round indoor gardening towers and seasonal outdoor gardening. These hands-on gardens provide food that is used for meals, snacks and cooking club projects.
Children are invited to participate in culinary arts/cooking club activities using the produce from that they've tended in our gardens.
