    about Bright Horizons Child Care

"Thank you Miss Andrea and Miss Nicola for all of your love and dedication to Nathan and his class. Nathan loves both of you. We are impressed at all he is learning and when we say where did you learn that he says, "Eea" or "Cola". Thank you!"

  • Family Style Dining at ECT

Mealtimes as times of relaxation, connection and learning!

Family style dining reflects an atmosphere of respect and tranquility, where everyone, children & teachers, sit down together. Mealtimes are turned into prime times, with opportunities for meaningful one-on-one interaction. Children experience a relaxed atmosphere of enjoyment rather than feeling rushed.

What are the benefits of family style dining?
It is a valuable time for adults to model appropriate behaviors & social interactions.
Independence is fostered. As they serve themselves, children feel empowered & learn what they are capable of doing as well as how to make meaningful choices.
Language is developed as children engage in conversations with adults & peers.
    Fine motor skills are fostered.
Mathematical skills such one to one correspondence are developed.
Mathematical language is learned: more, less,  etc. . .
    Children develop & practice patience.
Children often sit longer & try new foods when they eat with a teacher & peers and are able to serve themselves.

Because parents need peace of mind

    Well Aware and Staying Healthy

Our center environment offers children a healthy and safe place to develop and learn. Through our Well Aware program and our Staying Healthy procedures, we set high expectations for creating healthy environments and also foster positive attitudes within children towards healthy living, physical activity, and nutrition.

We’re proud to provide programs parents can feel good about, and to be recognized as a model for other early education programs by the Partnership for a Healthier America and First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign.
