Find an Answer to Your Question

What role do parents play in The Treehouse?

Our curriculum is anti-biased, non-stereotypical, and celebrates the diversity of the families we serve. To help children understand what makes people both alike and different, we ask parents to help us by sharing their family traditions and every day lives with us. What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm. The Treehouse Children’s Center follows the holiday schedule of King and Spalding.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes. The registration fee is $100.00 per child for the first year of enrollment and $75.00 per child for each subsequent year. There are no discounts when more than one child from a family is enrolled in our program. This fee will not be payroll deducted and should accompany your enrollment or pre-enrollment packages.

How will you insure the security of our children while they are in your care?

The entrance to the facility has a security access system and a guard seated just inside the front door. All play areas are fenced and security cameras are in place. There are no signs outside of this facility identifying it as a place for children.

Can I reserve a space in the center for my child who is not yet born?

You may “pre-enroll” your expected child as soon as you have confirmed your pregnancy. This is strongly recommended. We will need to know your “due date” and when you expect to return to work.

Will meals be served or does the parent provide the lunch?

All food for the center will be catered by FLIK. They will provide a morning snack, a hot meal for lunch and an afternoon snack. Menus will be developed following USDA Nutritional Guidelines as required by our state licensing agency. Milk or juice will always be on the menu.

Will I be able to continue using King & Spalding’s childcare center if my employment is terminated by either myself or the company?

No, I’m sorry, you will not. While we know it is difficult for children to change childcare situations, this facility, supported by King & Spalding, is designed to be utilized by their employees exclusively.

What is Bright Horizons' process on checking the background of their employees?

Bright Horizons conducts a comprehensive background check on all prospective employees and frequent visitors. The background check consists of a county criminal record check for the past seven years performed in all counties that a person has lived, worked or attended school. In addition to the county criminal search , a sex offender search, OFAC search and a social security verification trace are also conducted. For all location employees, program licensing background checks required by the state are also performed.

Who is eligible to use the Center?

Enrollment is open to the children and legal dependants of any King and Spalding employee. As space allows, the grandchildren of firm personnel may also be allowed to enroll, provided the grandparent is the legal guardian of the child. Two child-care spaces have been set aside for the children of Bright Horizons employees working in The Treehouse.
