  • Preschool Cooks Up Tasty Projections

    Preschool Pizza Pie

Preschool participated in an exciting unit exploring restaurants. They discussed the different components that make up the restaurant environment including costumers and restaurant employees. As part of the Language Works curriculum Preschool read a variety of books about restaurants  such as the " The Best Restaurant in the World" by Michelle Schwarz but showed a particular interest in "Pizza at Sally's" by Monica Wellington. Letter P cutouts were used to cook up and create "Pizza P's". Preschool utilized pizza toppings to create "ABA" patterns in Math Counts. As part of Art Smart, the children worked together to design and construct a pizza oven to transform the dramatic play area into a pizzeria.

Please check out pictures from our Pizza Unit.

    Well Aware and Staying Healthy

Our center environment offers children a healthy and safe place to develop and learn. Through our Well Aware program and our Staying Healthy procedures, we set high expectations for creating healthy environments and also foster positive attitudes within children towards healthy living, physical activity, and nutrition.
