  • STEM Education

    In our Early Childhood Classrooms

The world is becoming increasingly complex.  We must have basic competencies in Science, Math, and Technology in order to make sense of and process information.  In Early Childhood Classrooms, typically, activities planned with a STEM focus (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) involve at lease two of the four disciplines.  Bright Horizons embraces STEM Education in Preschool and Kindergarten Prep.

Science is a way of thinking. Discussing how to examine and experiment is only the beginning.
Technology includes any tool that helps make a task easier, goes far beyond computers, and promotes critical thinking.
Engineering is about Problem solving with innovation and construction.  The goal of engineering is to develop tools that help us every day.
Math is at the heart of science, technology, and engineering.  A young child beginning to explore math concepts will focus on sequencing, patterns, sorting, and discovering shapes, volume, and size.

Because parents need peace of mind

    Well Aware and Staying Healthy

Our center environment offers children a healthy and safe place to develop and learn. Through our Well Aware program and our Staying Healthy procedures, we set high expectations for creating healthy environments and also foster positive attitudes within children towards healthy living, physical activity, and nutrition.

We’re proud to provide programs parents can feel good about, and to be recognized as a model for other early education programs by the Partnership for a Healthier America and First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign.
