  • Celebrating Our Employees

    View or leave a message

Bright Horizons is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Month and the teachers and staff who bring education to life. We often hear from our teachers that the greatest reward is knowing that they have made a difference for children and families.

We invite you to write your own message of thanks or share how a Bright Horizons teacher or staff member has inspired you. The website will be open from May 1-31.

  • Enrichments

    Weekly Cooking Cart Enrichment

One of the many enrichments that is included in our tuition is a weekly Cooking enrichment. We have put together a fully loaded "Cooking Cart" that is stocked with supplies and ingredients for the teachers to roll into the classroom once a week to complete their cooking projects. Aside from the obvious benefit, taste tasting, cooking incorporates many different learning areas:
Math - Students become familiar with measuring and different units of measurement
Science - Exploring how physical properties can change.
Cause and Effect - Using objects as tools to complete a task.
Nutrition - Identifying and understanding healthy food choices, making healthy food choices, and understanding characteristics and benefits of nutritious foods.
Social Skills - Asking questions, using expressive language, taking turns and following directions.

Check out our Cooking Enrichment Photo Album to see the cooking projects we are doing at BH Suffield!
