    about Bright Horizons Child Care

"Dear Lisa, Thank you for being the best teacher in the world. I love all of my teachers but you were my first and I hold a special place for you in my heart. I am going to miss you so much when mommy makes me stay home with her all summer but I hope you can come see me in Toddlers in the fall! XOXO"

    Weekly Cooking Cart Enrichment

One of the many enrichments that is included in our tuition is a weekly Cooking enrichment. We have put together a fully loaded "Cooking Cart" that is stocked with supplies and ingredients for the teachers to roll into the classroom once a week to complete their cooking projects. Aside from the obvious benefit, taste tasting, cooking incorporates many different learning areas:
Math - Students become familiar with measuring and different units of measurement
Science - Exploring how physical properties can change.
Cause and Effect - Using objects as tools to complete a task.
Nutrition - Identifying and understanding healthy food choices, making healthy food choices, and understanding characteristics and benefits of nutritious foods.
Social Skills - Asking questions, using expressive language, taking turns and following directions.

Check out our Cooking Enrichment Photo Album to see the cooking projects we are doing at BH Suffield!
