The week of November 14-18, children in all of the classrooms explored just a few of the cultures of the families in the center. Many thanks to the 10 families who shared their time with us!
Children explored maps and artifacts from different areas around the world. They heard songs and stories in native languages. Some classes even danced to music, learned vocabulary in other languages, created/flew origami airplanes, learned about traditional holidays, and so much more! Even our cooking activities in the classrooms featured traditional dishes from around the world.
Through the generosity of our special guests, the children explored aspects of France, Italy, Indonesia, Africa, Japan, China and the South Pacific, as well as many family traditions including those regarding Hanukkah and Christmas.
