Meet our Toddler 2 Teaching Team

Miss Jenn has worked at BH Pembroke since December, 2014.  Jenn holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa, and she is currently pursuing a second Bachelor’s Degree in Early childhood Education!  In her spare time, Jenn loves to spend time with her daughter, who is enrolled in our Preschool program.  She also loves to garden, bake, and read.

Miss Emily has been with us since September, 2015.  Emily has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Emmanuel College.  She also came to us with years of experience as an Infant / Toddler teacher.  In her spare time, Miss Emily enjoys family time with her husband and their three children.

Miss Jenn and Miss Emily are both gifted Toddler teachers!  They plan a rich curriculum which gives children the opportunity to develop early science, math, language, and art skills.   We’re so happy to have such a valuable teaching team in Toddler 2!

  • Spring has sprung!

    Learning about birds and nests

We have a lot of birds visiting our center grounds lately. This has prompted a study of birds and nests in many of our classrooms. This is an excellent example of emergent curriculum in action, which is one of the 8 Key Concepts behind our curriculum. Focusing our learning on experiences and activities that are right at the children's fingerprints is so exciting. And since it's happening right outside our windows and doors throughout the center everyone is on board with learning about birds!
