  • What Pembroke Parents are Saying

    about Bright Horizons Child Care

"Our son Ben absolutely loves going to school and we have the three of you to thank! Ben has become such a grown boy; he has learned to help, share and count. He loves all of you and speaks of you often. We could not be any happier, or ask for anything this else. Thank you for all that you have done!"

    Cardboard Challenge 2015

The Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten Prep students have all been participating in the Cardboard Challenge.

The children collected various types of cardboard and other everyday items.  Then, their teachers helped the children brainstorm different things they could create using the cardboard.  Once the children had decided what they would like to make, they planned and designed their creations.

The Toddlers used cardboard and string to create a train, a truck, and a bus for their Dramatic Play learning area.  The Preschoolers used cardboard, and other items they collected, to create two classroom robots.  The Kindergarten Prep students worked together to create a rocket ship, using the materials they collected.

Learning at home with Bright Horizons!

STEM Education refers to an educational approach which integrates more than one of the educational disciplines - science, technology, engineering and math. STEM may seem like lofty subject matter for young children. In reality, toddlers and preschoolers spontaneously engage in STEM activities indoors and out on a regular basis.

Here are a few STEM activities that you can lead at home:

    Building Bridges

    Magical Magnets
