  • Bright Horizons SLU Summer Camp!

A trip around the world at Bright Horizons South Lake Union.

We are excited to start our 2015 summer camp program this month. Our summer camp program is a time of year in which classrooms have the opportunity to take a more center wide thematic approach to their curriculums. This year our classrooms will be highlighting 10 different countries with an overall theme of celebrating diversity. Many of the countries were chosen because of a cultural holiday, celebration, or tradition that takes place the week of that country’s focus. We start off the month in China shortly after the Duanwu Festival, followed by a return to USA for 4th of July, then we get our biking gear on to go cheer on the cyclistes in France during the Tour de France. Afterwards we are off to South Africa to celebrate Mandela Day, do a little dancing at the Gueleaguetza festival in Mexico, enjoy some tapas in Spain, have a picnic on Picnic Day in Australia, celebrate the Flooding of the Nile in Egpyt, grab some pasta in Italy, and then finish of the summer camp in India to celebrate Onam.

Because parents need peace of mind

    Well Aware and Staying Healthy

Our center environment offers children a healthy and safe place to develop and learn. Through our Well Aware program and our Staying Healthy procedures, we set high expectations for creating healthy environments and also foster positive attitudes within children towards healthy living, physical activity, and nutrition.

We’re proud to provide programs parents can feel good about, and to be recognized as a model for other early education programs by the Partnership for a Healthier America and First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign.
