Mary Ann Tocio University (MATU) is our greatest, most tangible way of reinforcing our commitment to ongoing employee training and career development. Available to all employees, MATU is a continuing education unit (CEU) granting university that includes online and offline components and interactive courses, including a wide selection of content in management development, early education, leadership skills, time and project management, and job-specific coursework.

In 2018, we launched our amazing Horizons Teacher Degree Program that enables our full-time center-based employees to complete their Early Childhood Education college degree FREE with zero out-of-pocket expenses. What’s a typical day like as a Bright Horizons teacher?
Bright Horizons centers are filled with the sights and sounds of young, active learners! Teaching is a rewarding position that also requires hard work and dedication. Our teaching teams collaborate to create child-centered curriculum and they actively participate in all classroom activities – at both indoor and outside learning areas. Teachers use our mobile app to document daily observations of each child, share classroom activities with parents, and document children’s development. Click to learn more.
Each center has specific schedules to meet the needs of the families enrolled. Depending on the position you apply for, your hours may vary. In general, full-time is an 8.5 to 9 hour day with a half hour or hour lunch break. Search for Bright Horizons teaching positions near you.

The Bright Futures scholarship program provides financial assistance to students pursuing a career in early education. Check back in the summer of 2021 for details.
Social Responsibility
Supporting the communities in which we work and live is at our core. Bright Horizons proudly stands behind our many employees who give their time, offering them grants and awards for the hard work they do to make the world a better place. We also work together to support the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children® and its important mission to bring Bright Spaces® to children and families in homeless shelters. In addition, many centers and departments host team-building “fundraising” events to support both our Foundation as well as other charities that are important to individual teams.
