Meet Our Executive Director
With a lifelong passion for child and community development, Lauren is deeply inspired by Bright Horizons’ commitment to high quality care and education and is honored to be joining the Kansas St. family!
Lauren’s journey advocating for children and families began when she joined AmeriCorps working in preschool classrooms with underserved communities in San Francisco during her college years. This incredibly fulfilling experience inspired her to study Child and Adolescent Development at San Francisco State University then leading her to become a preschool teacher.
Over time, she gained further leadership experience as a site supervisor, director, education specialist, and mentor-coach for teachers. With over a decade of leadership experience, Lauren is a passionate advocate for children, families, and teachers with strong conviction in the power of open communication, nurturing relationships, play-based curriculum, empowered mentorship, and data-driven programming.
Lauren’s favorite thing about children is their innate curiosity lending them to become fully competent problem-solvers. She is inspired by children’s resilience, their natural tendency for inclusion, and their ability to live moment-to-moment. When Lauren is not at the center she’s chasing around her incredibly busy (but oh so sweet!) 22-month-old son, Remy!
