When is the center scheduled to open?

The center is expected to open late 2024, contingent upon receipt of an operating license from the state licensor.

What will the hours of operation be?

The center will be open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It will remain open year-round; closing only on major holidays.

How do I enroll my child?

Registration is now open!.  If you are interested in enrolling your child(ren), you will register with Bright Horizons through the Family Information Center and submit the $100 registration fee per family.  Families will be contacted by a Bright Horizons representative mid-October to discuss pre-enrollment or waitlist status. If you were not able to attend the virtual Family Information Session event hosted by Bright Horizons, you can watch a recording at this link.   

Will the center offer dedicated enrichment spaces?

Yes, the center will have a dedicated indoor movement room, outdoor splash pad and outdoor STEM classroom.

What are the tuition rates and how were they determined?

The monthly first year tuition rates listed below were established in alignment with comparable, high-quality child care centers in the surrounding area. Each year, Bright Horizons will conduct an extensive market study to determine the appropriate annual tuition rates.

Where will the center be located?

The center will be located in the Intelliplex Certified Technology Park at 2400 Intelliplex Drive in Shelbyville, Indiana.

When is tuition billed and collected?

Tuition will be billed and collected monthly.

How is tuition paid?

Tuition is paid through payroll deduction and is due on 25th day of the prior month. Example: September monthly tuition   will be due on August 25.

Is part-time child care available at the center?

The center will only offer full-time schedules.  

What ages will the center serve?

The center has capacity for 192 children and will serve children ages 6 weeks through 6 years old.

What is the process to withdraw a child from the center?

Families will be required to provide notice of intent to withdraw 30 days in advance of the last day of attendance.

Are all staff trained in CPR and First Aid?

All Bright Horizons staff are trained regularly in CPR, even if not required by the state. First Aid is taught as required by state licensing agency/regulations so that you can feel confident that your child is safe and receiving the best care possible at our center.

What is Bright Horizons' process on checking the background of their employees?

Bright Horizons conducts a comprehensive background check on all prospective employees and frequent visitors. The background check consists of a county criminal record check for the past seven years performed in all counties that a person has lived, worked or attended school. In addition to the county criminal search , a sex offender search, OFAC search and a social security verification trace are also conducted. For all location employees, program licensing background checks required by the state are also performed.
