Are all staff trained in CPR and First Aid?

All Bright Horizons staff are trained regularly in CPR, even if not required by the state. First Aid is taught as required by state licensing agency/regulations so that you can feel confident that your child is safe and receiving the best care possible at our center.

What is Bright Horizons' process on checking the background of their employees?

Bright Horizons conducts a comprehensive background check on all prospective employees and frequent visitors. The background check consists of a county criminal record check for the past seven years performed in all counties that a person has lived, worked or attended school. In addition to the county criminal search , a sex offender search, OFAC search and a social security verification trace are also conducted. For all location employees, program licensing background checks required by the state are also performed.

What ages does the center serve?

The center has capacity for 192 children and offer programs for children ages 6 weeks through 6 years old.

Is part-time child care available at the center?

The center only offers full-time schedules.  

What are the tuition rates and how were they determined?

The monthly first year tuition rates listed below are established in alignment with comparable, high-quality child care centers in the surrounding area. Each year, Bright Horizons will conduct an extensive market study to determine the appropriate annual tuition rates. 

Will the center offer dedicated enrichment spaces?

Yes, the center has a dedicated indoor movement room, outdoor splash pad and outdoor STEM classroom.

What are the hours of operation?

The center is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We are open year-round; closing only on major holidays.

Where is the center located?

We are located in the Intelliplex Certified Technology Park at 2400 Intelliplex Drive in Shelbyville, Indiana.

When is tuition billed and collected?

Tuition is billed and collected monthly.

How is tuition paid?

Tuition is paid via ACH and is due on 25th day of the prior month. Example: September monthly tuition   will be due on August 25.

How do I enroll my child?

Registration is now open!.  If you are interested in enrolling your child(ren), you can register through the Family Information Center and submit the $100 registration fee per family.  Families will be contacted by a Bright Horizons representative to discuss pre-enrollment or waitlist status. 
If your family has applied for CCDF funding to subsidize tuition, please contact the center leadership team directly before registering through the Family Information Center.  

What is the process to withdraw a child from the center?

Families are required to provide notice of intent to withdraw 30 days in advance of the last day of attendance.
